Use My Library

You can login to your library account to

  • see the progress of your reservations and loans
  • renew your loans
  • create and update your alert profiles
  • manage comments you have created
  • change your postal address, email address, mobile number and PIN
  • access your Saved Lists

You can either use the Login option in the top righthand corner or by selecting Login from the My library section.

Once you enter your Library Card number and Password click Login.  You will be taken to your personal Dashboard

If you have forgotten your Password you can request a new one online if you provided your email address when you registered.

  • Click Forgot your Password? in the My Library section
  • Enter your Library Card Number and Surname and click Continue
  • If you cannot remember your Library Card Number you can reset your Password using your name and email address
  • You will receive an email with a link for resetting your Password

If you cannot find your email please check your Junk/Spam folder

Through My account/Dashboard you can 

  • Create and manage Alert profiles and Recommendation alert. To access your current Alert profiles please select History. Learn more
  • Update your Personal details including updating your address or add an email to your account
  • access previous loans, requests, reservations and your current alerts by selecting History
  • view any comments, ratings or tags you have added
  • create and access Saved lists and Queries - Find out more
My account/Dashboard is a series of tiles and you can see at a glance:
  • Current loans, both physical items and Borrowbox titles
  • Overdue loans or lost items
  • Outstanding charges
  • The progress of any reservations
Select a tile to see further information.

You may be able to renew your loans online, here are some reasons you may not be able to do so:

  • The item is reserved, some reserved items can be renewed once for a shorter time
  • You have reached the maximum 3 renewals
  • Your Account is due to expire before the item would be due back. Check in Personal Details for your Account expiry date.

To renew your loans:

  1. Login to My account and access your Dashboard
  2. Select the tile to display Current loans
  3. To renew selected items tick the checkbox then click Renew Selections, under the Options menu
  4. To renew all items click Renew All, under the Options menu

If successful the Date due will update and status will say Renewed * time/s. If you have any queries or issues renewing an item then please contact us on 01750 726400 for assistance. 

This facility allows you to review, update and delete the Ratings and Comments records you have previously created while searching the Library Catalogue. You may delete any of the records you have created, but you may only update records which are still to be reviewed by library staff. Once these records have been approved or declined, they may no longer be updated as that would mean they would need to be reviewed again.

To delete a ratings and comment record:

  1. Login to My account and access the history page.
  2. Select the link to display your ratings and comments records.
  3. All of your ratings and comments will be displayed, then click the icon to the right of rating you wish to delete and click Delete review.

To edit a ratings and comment record which is pending review by library staff:

  1. Login to My account and access the history page.
  2. Select the link to display your ratings and comments records.
  3. All of your ratings and comments will be displayed, then click the icon to the right of rating you wish to delete and click Delete review.
  4. Make the required changes to the ratings level and your comment then click Continue.
