Waverley and other railways

2015
Books, Manuscripts
The Waverley line from Edinburgh to Hawick was opened in 1849. With Walter Scott a supporter of railway development, it was appropriate the line should become known as the Waverley line. Waverley as a place name is found in many parts of the world, some of these countries figuring in the narratives andpoems our members have contributed to this anthology.
